Easy is an understatement!

This crochet triangle shawl/scarf/wrap does NOT get any easier. It’s a series of double crochet stitches with a few chain stitches to create that pointed triangle shape, and that’s it!

I love the simplicity of this design. Once I got past row 2 I had the pattern memorized – I turned on a good movie and zoomed through the project. It’s totally Netflix-able and easy to pick up and put down without having to refer back to the pattern.

The Inspiration + Design

I loved creating my ever popular Wishing Well Wrap crochet triangle shawl back in 2017 using Lion Brand Mandala Baby yarn. It’s been a crowd favorite ever since so I knew I needed to bring back a sister design.

That first crochet triangle shawl was a tad more intricate with alternating double crochets and rows of eyelet stitches. While beautiful, I wanted to create a simpler, more beginner friendly version.

I’ve created other crochet triangle shawl projects over the years like the Le Nuage Wrap and the Elle Convertible Shawl but this one might be my favorite!

A beginner friendly shape

A crochet triangle shawl seems intricate but it’s really not. This project is great for a beginner that’s worked simple scarves that are plain rectangles.

A triangle is just a step beyond that shape as it requires basic increases, but don’t let that scare you! The pattern itself is two lines of instruction and I even have a video tutorial to help you.

You got this!

The Yarn

I chose to return to the wide world of self-striping cake yarns for this pattern. These yarns have taken the craft world by storm over the last several years and can be found in stores and online nearly everywhere yarn is sold.

The great thing about these yarns is that they take all the color mixing guesswork out of making a multi-colored project. The cake yarns usually hold several shades of colors that are supposed to go together.

I think some colorways do a better job of this than others and my all-time favorite is the Mandala Sparkle in Nova that I used for this crochet triangle shawl. I love blush (seriously, I think my car would be blush if Subaru would answer my incessant requests for it) and this blend of blush, peach, light and smoky greys with lavender is just perfect.

Mandala Sparkle got that name from the thin strand of shimmering metallic thread running through the cake. It blends harmoniously with the yarn and you don’t notice it until the light hits your project just the right way. It’s subtle and gorgeous!

SPARKLE CAKE CROCHET TRIANGLE SHAWL

Ch 4, sl st to first st to form a ring.

Row 1 : Ch 2, (working into center of ring) 2 dc, ch 2, 3 dc, turn <6>

Row 2 : Ch 2, 2 dc, dc to ch space, (dc, ch 2, dc) into ch space, dc to last st, 3 dc <12>

Repeat row 2 until you’ve finished 40 rows.

*note: each row increases by 6 dc sts total

Finish off & weave ends.

Wet block your shawl.
(recommended for animal fiber yarns – wool, alpaca)

Steam block your shawl.

Tassels

Make 2 tassels using a small hard cover book, tassel maker, or small piece of cardboard.

Using top tie, affix tassels to either end of your shawl after it’s completely dry post-blocking. Tie a knot to secure and weave both ends through the tassel head and the shawl repeatedly before weaving end finally along the shawl’s stitches.

The Inspiration + Design

Crochet accessories are what the transition from summer to fall is for! I’m having trouble letting go of the light, breezy shapes and colors of summer so I’m not putting them away just yet.

I’ve never designed a crescent shaped shawl before and I don’t think this one will be my last. It’s such a fun, delicate shape that is light and warm all at once.

I added heavy fringe to this shawl for added drama and style. It looks a little bare without the fringe and I love the statement it adds!

The Yarn + Kit

I blended two yarns together to make this piece and I love the way they mix and mingle. I held together a strand of Lion Brand Coboo in Pale Pink (a gorgeous, soft, drapey cotton bamboo blend yarn) and a strand of Lion Brand Summer Nights in Blue Lagoon (a lace weight sparkly variegated yarn with subtle blue and pink tones).

These two yarns played so nicely together and they create a really interesting, feminine look without any fuss – seriously, this entire pattern is just a one row repeat!!

-This shawl is worked in one piece from the top down beginning with the top center. Simple 1 row repeat in turned rows until the desired length is achieved.

Crochet Glimmer Shawl

Hold 1 strand of each yarn together throughout.

Ch 33, sk 1 st

Row 1: 2 sc, 2 sc, sc until 2 sts remain, 2 sc, 2 sc, t <36>

Row 2: Ch 2, 2 Sc, 2 sc, blo sc until 2 sts remain, 2 sc, 2 sc, t <40>

Rep row 2 until you’ve finished 72 rows or until the deepest part of your shawl measures 18” from row 1 to last row and about 80” wide <320>

Finish off, weave ends.

BLOCKING

Blocking is necessary to get this shawl looking it’s best. Please complete this step before moving onto fringe!

Set up foam blocking mats or a couple of dry towels (that you won’t need for the next day or so) on a table, ironing board, or the floor.

Lay your dry shawl out on the blocking surface right side up.

With blocking pins or rustproof sewing pins, stretch and pin the shawl to make a soft crescent shape. Stretch and manipulate the shawl until you love the look.

With a clothing steamer or an iron on the steam setting, saturate the shawl with steam. It should feel damp to the touch.

Let dry overnight before removing pins and moving on to the fringe step.

BRUSHED FRINGE

Holding 1 strand of each yarn together-

Cut 2 pieces about 10 in. long <totaling 4 strands>

*Tip: speed up the process by setting up pins to wrap around and cut on your blocking mat!

Attach to the first stitch of the last row as follows. Fold all pieces in half together. Use your crochet hook to pull the fold of the yarn partially through the stitch. Pull tails of the fringe through the loop created. Tighten.

Rep fringe in every stitch across. This is tedious but imperative to the thick brushed fringe look.

Trim all fringe to be as even as possible, following the curve of your shawl. Go slow and always trim as little as possible.

The Inspiration + Design

I’ve been dyeing my own yarn now for over a year and it’s a shame I haven’t designed more projects with it! I’m putting a stop to that with this stunningly simple shawl pattern!

Spring and summer are what I like to call “breezy layer” seasons. When the wind kicks up by the shore or the air gets chilly after sundown I always like to have a light wrap or cardigan around to throw on over my tanks and tees. It’s been a while since I designed a shawl and I wanted something different from my usual triangle shawl (like the Wishing Well Wrap or Le Nuage Wrap) I designed last year. I decided on a simple rectangle that’s large enough to snuggle up in without too much extra fabric that would be hot and heavy.

Simple eyelet stitches made by skipping stitches and easier-than-you-think ribbing make this project easy enough for a beginner – even though the finished product looks super luxe and stylish. I love tossing this wrap on over a simple black V neck and Jeans (my top is the Grace Wrap Top & is handmade by my friend Raney at www.RaneMade.com – check out her gorgeous comfy clothes here!)

The Yarn

Once I decided on what I wanted to make with our yarn, I set out to choose a yarn base and colorway – fun!

I love our Crocheter’s DK base yarn – we always dye a lot of it for our monthly shop updates (get on our email list HERE to be notified of the next one!) and I originally hand selected it to be ideal for crocheting. So much of the hand dyed yarn community caters to knitters that I knew I had to carry a yarn just for crocheters!

Ever since I first dyed our Vanilla Bean colorway back in January, I knew I wanted to make something with it. It’s a soft vanilla color with tiny black speckles that are barely there. It’s the perfect amount of interest without being too busy! I paired it with our Ava solid pink color that’s the perfect dusty shade of blush.

I’m so thrilled with how this super soft yarn worked up and how the colors and drape all came together in the finished product.

This project is very beginner friendly and creates a soft, feminine finished wrap. Read on below about the inspiration and yarn details, or scroll on down for the free pattern.

The Inspiration + Design

This design was heavily inspired by the texture of the yarn I used (read more on the yarn below!)

Once I saw this yarn I knew it would make an incredible pom pom. Some yarns really fluff out and make the most gorgeous poms while others look kinda stringy and odd. The fluffy fiber content and construction of this amazing new yarn were made for the fluffiest poms!

How do I incorporate a pom pom into a wearable? I wanted to wrap myself up in this yarn once I saw it so I knew some kind of shawl would be just the ticket. And when I couldn’t choose just one color to work with, I decided to make a soft color blocked design with some open lacy stitches. (This animal fiber is warm so I wanted to make sure this project could transition through many seasons easily.) I added pom pom ties to either end of my triangle and tied the whole color scheme together by making them with all three colors of the yarn I used. I’m so in love with how soft, fluffy, and feminine this project is!

This shawl is called “convertible” because these long ties allow you to wear this piece in many ways – I’ve shown you three different configurations here:

• [center] the triangle scarf – wrap around you neck, cross sides of triangle at the back of the neck, bring ties to front and tie neatly in a bow
• [left] the criss cross top – wrap across your front, cross sides of triangle at center back, bring ties to front under the arms and tie at waist
• [right] the classic shawl – drape over shoulders, bring sides of triangle to front center chest, tie triangle sides in a loose knot, wrap and hide ties in knot to leave poms just below the knot

The Yarn

When Lion Brand yarn gave me a super secret preview of a new yarn of theirs I squealed with excitement. The yarn I used is called Chainette and it’s the softest yarn I’ve felt in a long time! It’s name comes from the chain-like braided construction (instead of the standard twist we usually see in yarn) and this means the yarn never splits and has beautiful stitch definition.

The fiber content of this yarn is 70% alpaca (!!!) 18% virgin wool and 12& polyamide (for durability). It’s hard to find alpaca forward yarns and even when you do, they’re usually really expensive. Chainette from Lion Brand is part of their LB Collection which means these yarns are only sold on their website, not in any stores – so they’re able to deliver really high quality, luxe yarns at a super affordable price. I’m a big fan of the LB Collection – I made my Ava Poncho in the Cotton Bamboo yarn from that line and have lots more plans with these yarns soon!

My other favorite thing about this yarn is the color palette. Every single color is stunning in person and they all mix and match SO well. I went with a soft, feminine palette with Pink, Beige, and Cream but you could easily make this shawl in any one solid color or a darker, moodier palette of dark navy, olive, and mustard. The options are endless!

I’m so excited to show you my newest wrap design, the Crochet Gradient Wrap!

The Design

I’ve made a couple of shawls this year, but I wanted to create a bit more angular one with a pronounced point and a bit of simple striping. With the more angular look, this shawl is longer in the back than other shawls, lending it to look a bit more elegant and dramatic.

I used only 2 colors of the new Buttercream Luxe Craft Wool Blend Hanks from JOANN and worked in some gradient style striping that gives a fade look moving from one color to the other. This technique would look beautiful with a solid and variegated tone as well. I can’t wait to see what color combinations you make, I’m sure they’ll all be beautiful!

The Yarn

JOANN’s exclusive line of yarns, Buttercream, is full of luxe yarns at surprisingly affordable prices. They’ve had several yarns over the last few years that were really intriguing but none as surprising as the new Luxe Craft Wool Blend Hanks.

The presentation of this yarn will make you stop in your yarn-aisle tracks because of the way it’s wound – in a hank! Instead of the usual skein presentation we usually see in craft stores, this yarn is wound like the more bespoke cousin of big box store yarns, catching our attention and elevating the expectation.

Once we get in there and feel the yarn, the hand is just as surprised as the eye. This yarn is 50% wool, 42% bamboo derived rayon, and 8% acrylic. What a combination! This single ply blend yarn moves through several tones of color and variations of thick and thin without being too jarring a change as we work up a project. I’m not a huge fan of extreme thick & thin yarns so this variation being a bit more subtle was perfect for me, and the Gradient Wrap!

-This wrap has quite an angular shape and has a pronounced point at the center of the triangle. If you’d like a more obtuse triangle, try working (Dc, Ch 2, Dc) into the Ch 2 space of each round instead of (2 Dc, Ch 2, 2 Dc). This may change the number of rows you’d like to work up but I thought I’d make this suggestion as you may not like a wrap as angular as mine.

-To alter sizing, simply omit or add on repeats of the Row repeat pattern to desired size.

Ch 4, sl st to 1st Ch (next to slip knot) to form a ring

Row 1: Working into center of the ring made from your Ch 2, 3 Dc, Ch 2, 3 Dc into ring (6)

The Crochet Wishing Well Wrap is one of my favorite patterns from last spring so I’m bringing it back in a new fall feature!

You might remember this pattern from when I first posted it here on the blog earlier this year. This post holds the same pattern, showing you a bit of a different way to style it!

The Yarn

I chose to use Lion Brand Yarn’s Mandala Baby yarn for this project! I first saw this colorway in New York City during the Lion Brand Yarn Blogger’s Bash and as soon as I saw it, I turned it over to see the colorway name (anybody else do that? The name of the color pretty much decides if I’ll use it or not, ha!). It was called Wishing Well! As if I couldn’t love it any more.

All of the new Mandala Baby line are available only at Walmart Stores and LionBrand.com & they were created with little ones in mind. Soft colors and neutrals perfect for tiny babes with the cutest colorway names you guys! Some include Neverland, Echo Caves, Pixie Hollow, and Unicorn Cloud – how cute is that?! Browse them all here.

This wrap would be stunning in any of the Mandala Baby yarns or even the original Mandala line of yarns with some deeper hues and equally fun colorway names – like Wizard, Harpy, Pegasus, and Brownie. Check those out here (so many more options online than in stores!)

Lion Brand even come out with a third extension of the self striping yarn cake extravaganza called Cupcake. Theses are the brightest of the family and they really pack a punch! There are tons of Cupcake colorways and they might have the cutest names of all – Apple Picking, Sand Castle, Jelly Bean, and my favorite Coffee Break – are you kidding me?! Can it get any cuter?! -Each long side of the triangle (and each row) should always have the same number of stitches.

-Whether pulling from the center or outside of the cake, be sure you pull from the same place when you join a new cake to your project.

-I pull from the center and used up a good chunk of that dark blue yarn for my accent tassels. If you want tassels a different color than what you’ll end your wrap with, make tassels before beginning wrap.

-I cut the yarn to skip to the next color whenever I was beginning a new row and didn’t have enough of that color left to finish the next row. Cut yarn, set aside the rest of that color for tassels, and join new yarn where color abruptly changes in your cake before beginning another row. This will create more even striping without color changes in the middle of your rows. To conserve yarn or get a more randomly striped look, don’t splice yarn – just crochet as normal.

-To alter sizing, simply omit or add on repeats of the 2 Row stitch pattern to desired size. In general, this wrap is best sized as a few inches longer than your wingspan (middle fingers tip to tip when held out straight from your sides). 1 cake may be sufficient for toddlers and small kids, 2 cakes are enough for teens and most adults, plus sizes or any larger than my sample (70″ wide) may need a 3rd cake.

Tassels

Use a hardcover book to help you here.

Wrap the yarn around the width of your book about 50 times (not too tight!)

Slide yarn loop off of book without dismantling your loop shape.

Cut your yarn loop through all the strands of yarn as pictured.

You should have about 50 pieces of yarn all the same length now.

Cut 2 pieces of yarn about 12″ long each.

Tie one piece of yarn around center of your yarn strands to secure.

Gather up into more of a tassel shape. Your first yarn tie should be at the top and all loose strands going in the opposite direction.

Lay your other cut piece of yarn under your tassel widthwise about 1″ below your first tie.

Straighten all loose strands and tie tightly to secure, You should have a much more recognizable tassel shape.

Wrap tails of second tie around the cinched spot until you run out of tail and use your hook to slip the remaining tail under the loop. Trim ends.

I like to straighten my tassels by steaming them! This is optional but will give your tassel a more polished look.

Attach 1 tassel to each end of your wrap and weave ends.

The Yarn

I used Lion Brand’s new Feels Like Butta yarn for this project and it was definitely the right choice! It’s the softest yarn I’ve ever felt and it truly does feel like butta – honest!

So what type of fiber is so soft? Polyester. (I know, I was surprised too!) When I think of polyester I think of something plasticky and, well, cheap. I was so surprised to learn that Butta is 100% polyester and has the smoothest, softest hand I’ve felt. This yarn feels sort of like chenille and sort of like suede. A lot of polyester chenille-style yarns shred and lose their fuzziness as you work with it and it’s kept me away from yarns like this in the past, but Feels Like Butta does none of that!

It was perfect for this wrap that’s got loads of bobble stitches as well as open skipped stitches, so the chainette style spin of the yarn lends itself to wonderful stitch definition. It really takes this entire design to the next level!

Make 2 chubby tassels using the video tutorial or written instructions below.

Cut 3 spare pieces of yarn each ~10 inches long.

Slip looped yarn off the book maintaining the shape, thread a spare piece of yarn through the loop and tie in a tight knot to secure.

Tie another spare piece of yarn ~1″ below 1st tie. Wrap tails to secure.

Tie last spare piece of yarn ~1″ below 2nd tie. Wrap tails to secure.

Tie tassels onto either end of the wrap and use ends to secure and weave ends.

The Design

I made this Jolene Shawl with easy double crochets and chain stitches to create a window effect is the softest denim-inspired yarn. It’s got all my favorite things!

I love that this design is easily worn as a scarf tied around the neck or as a shawl around the shoulders – I especially love it tied at the chest! It’s such an easy layer to grab on your way out the door for those days when it’s chilly in the morning but too warm for a sweater in the afternoon.

The color changes in the pattern give a sort of faded effect, especially when using 3 color variations within the same family. Using 3 tones of denim blue were an easy way to give the pattern a great cohesive look with easy fade detail. Imagine all the color possibilities! You could do 3 shades of the same color (all greys would be stunning, or fade from black to white) or choose three totally unrelated but coordinating colors to create your own creative palette!

The Yarn

I used Lion Brand’s Jeans Yarn because it’s a tried and true favorite! You can’t go wrong with any of the color combination possibilities in the lineup because they were all made to go together in a blissful mix & match fashion.

I loved using this yarn because it’s the softest acrylic yarn I’ve found and the drape is so easy. I didn’t have my steamer with me and this baby draped without even blocking! Jeans is one of those yarns that’s grossly underrated in my opinion, it’s one of the best big box store yarns on the market and I highly recommend you try it if you haven’t already!

There are even new lines of Jeans Colors (that I made my Penelope Dress with) and Cotton Jeans (that I can’t wait to get my hands on!). Check those out here.

This crochet wrap has everything!

It’s got color, it’s got neutrals, it’s got easy-peasy stitches, it’s a free pattern. It’s the Wishing Well Wrap crochet wrap pattern!

This versatile crochet wrap accessory is one of those projects that takes a little getting used to at first. Then after about the 5th row you’re zooming along watching the latest season of New Girl and your hands are on autopilot. Isn’t that the BEST kind of pattern?

I love this crochet wrap because it’s SO customizable. Make it smaller, make it bigger, watch the color changes, let it go, make it solid. Add tassels, no tassels, multi-colored tassels, fringe, anything goes.

Basically the world (and this wrap) are your oyster. So go for it!

Beginner friendly and netflix-able.

Both beginner crocheters and experienced makers, rejoice! This crochet wrap is simple. Once you get the hang of the repeats (it should start to make sense fairly quickly as we basically repeat the same two rows dozens of times) you’ll be ready to put on a movie and relax into a mindless project.

The result will not look quick or easy, even though it was both! It looks lacy and intricate and the color changing yarn just adds to the effortless simplicity of this project. The initial impression is that this wrap took an expert level crafter. It’s really just a series of double crochets and chain stitches to create little eyelets. You’ll be amazed at how simply this crochet wrap comes together!

Why Cake?

Before picking up this Mandala Baby project, I’d never used a cake yarn before. And when I say “cake yarn” I mean one of the many variations of self striping yarns that have been flying off the shelves of craft stores in the last few years. They have big chunks of color that suddenly change to the next color and usually have several different hues in one cake.

I love this concept because it takes a lot of the guesswork out of picking out colors that work nicely together. The yarn companies do it for us! (Thanks, LB). So even though the Wishing Well Wrap has stunning tones of blue and tan with just the right amount of white thrown in. I am not completely responsible for creating that magic, a lot of it was done for me by the yarn!

Cutting the Cake

I will tell ya that I cut and spliced the yarn a tiny bit to make the stripes in my wrap lay how I wanted. I only did this in 3 places. I saw a color change coming up and decided it was too abrupt to change in the middle of a row of stitches. So I opted to go ahead and snip that yarn before beginning my next row, set aside the few yards of that last color to get to the next color, join the yarn with my new color, and keep on stitching.

Most of the color transitions worked out just fine for me and my wrap, the color changed either right when I started a new row or right around that area,. And since I wasn’t too worried about the stripes being absolutely perfect, I rolled with it. I’m pretty happy with the result!

And for those of you thinking “Sewrella! You wasted all that yarn cutting and splicing!” Fear not friends, each time I skipped a few yards of yarn I set it aside and made tassels for another project (more on that to come) from the leftover bits! Which was really just my frugal attempt to use anything I could from those cuttings set aside. Clever, no?

Clover ate all the Cake!

(Get it? My hook is a Clover brand hook and I used all the yarn cake? Heh heh. Don’t worry, I won’t go into stand up comedy anytime soon)

I wound up with only a tiny bit of my 2 cakes leftover after making this wrap. So although you can continue on with the pattern repeat to make the wrap as large as you want, beware that you’ll definitely need a 3rd cake if you plan to make this wrap more than a couple of rows larger than mine!

On that same note, you may only need one cake if you make this crochet wrap for a child. To do that just follow the same pattern below for adults, and stop repeating the rows when you’ve got a wrap just larger than the child’s wingspan! Done and done.

Pattern Notes:

UPDATED 4/30 — After many questions from you guys, I reworked this pattern and added a chart to make it easy as pie. Enjoy!

-For reference, model is 5’5” tall with a 39″ bust.

-Ch 2 sts DO count as a st throughout the pattern.

-Pattern is worked beginning in the center of the wrap and worked in turned rows to expand the size. Close attention paid to increases at the beginning and end of each row are imperative.

-Each long side of the triangle (and each row) should always have the same number of stitches.

-Whether pulling from the center or outside of the cake, be sure you pull from the same place when you join a new cake to your project.

-I pull from the center and used up a good chunk of that dark blue yarn for my accent tassels. If you want tassels a different color than what you’ll end your wrap with, make tassels before beginning wrap.

-I cut the yarn to skip to the next color whenever I was beginning a new row and didn’t have enough of that color left to finish the next row. Cut yarn, set aside the rest of that color for tassels, and join new yarn where color abruptly changes in your cake before beginning another row. This will create more even striping without color changes in the middle of your rows. To conserve yarn or get a more randomly striped look, don’t splice yarn – just crochet as normal.

-To alter sizing, simply omit or add on repeats of the 2 Row stitch pattern to desired size. In general, this wrap is best sized as a few inches longer than your wingspan (middle fingers tip to tip when held out straight from your sides). 1 cake may be sufficient for toddlers and small kids, 2 cakes are enough for teens and most adults, plus sizes or any larger than my sample (70″ wide) may need a 3rd cake.

Tassels

Use a hardcover book to help you here.

Wrap the yarn around the width of your book about 50 times (not too tight!)

Slide yarn loop off of book without dismantling your loop shape.

Cut your yarn loop through all the strands of yarn as pictured.

You should have about 50 pieces of yarn all the same length now.

Cut 2 pieces of yarn about 12″ long each.

Tie one piece of yarn around center of your yarn strands to secure.

Gather up into more of a tassel shape. Your first yarn tie should be at the top and all loose strands going in the opposite direction.

Lay your other cut piece of yarn under your tassel widthwise about 1″ below your first tie.

Straighten all loose strands and tie tightly to secure, You should have a much more recognizable tassel shape.

Wrap tails of second tie around the cinched spot until you run out of tail and use your hook to slip the remaining tail under the loop. Trim ends.

I like to straighten my tassels by steaming them! This is optional but will give your tassel a more polished look.

Attach 1 tassel to each end of your wrap and weave ends.

The Crochet Le Nuage Wrap is like snuggling up in a big yarn cloud that you never want to leave!

It’s a beginner friendly project, with simple stitches and an easy repeating pattern. The perfect thing to make while watching TV (which is what we are all looking for in a crochet pattern, right?)

This wrap gave me some trouble, friends. All in all, I wound up starting (and frogging) about a dozen versions of it! Partially because I struggled with the maths and shape, also because I’m INCREDIBLY indecisive about color. This wrap was almost dusty blue, then almost blush pink, then almost striped, you get the idea. I finally landed on white because I realized I wear very little pure white garments and it would make such a nice accent piece in my wardrobe! After spending so many hours on it I’m SO glad I stuck with this classic neutral.

I know I wanted to incorporate bobbles into this look, because quite honestly I never met a bobble I didn’t like. I love how they’re staggered and symmetrical – making my organized heart go pitter-pat. And the texture! Bobbles just really lend to the thick, squishy nature of this pattern – that’s why I named it the Le Nuage Wrap (french for cloud!).

Chubby Tassels

Make 2 chubby tassels using the video tutorial or written instructions below.

Cut 3 spare pieces of yarn each ~10 inches long.

Slip looped yarn off the book maintaining the shape, thread a spare piece of yarn through the loop and tie in a tight knot to secure.

Tie another spare piece of yarn ~1″ below 1st tie. Wrap tails to secure.

Tie last spare piece of yarn ~1″ below 2nd tie. Wrap tails to secure.

Tie tassels onto either end of the wrap and use ends to secure and weave ends.
