I’m so excited to introduce you all to the first member of my brand new Sewrella’s Guest Designer Program here on the blog – Breann! She’s full of beautiful ideas and has SO many fun projects over on her blog, be sure to check them out. Breann is the first of many inspiring designers that will be contributing a curated selection of patterns this year through this new program and I can’t wait to show you all the fun that’s in store!
Hello! I’m Breann and my blog is Hooked on Homemade Happiness where I share mostly crochet patterns with the occasional DIY and mom life post thrown in. I love to crochet and share fun and modern clothing and accessories.
I wanted a winter accessory that’s colorful, cute, and fun. And this hat definitely fits the bill! By this time of year I’m tired of being bundled up and am ready for some bright colors in my wardrobe. Since the majority of the hat is cream and gray, pretty much any contrasting color would look cute. If you wanted to stick with more neutrals, I think a black band and pom would look great.
This hat is super easy and quick to make. You can have it whipped up in an afternoon! I used Loops & Threads Charisma yarn. It’s one of my favorite bulky (category 5) yarns because of how soft and squishy it is. Plus, it’s easy on the wallet which is always a win. But any bulky yarn would work perfectly for this hat.

Width across the brim: 10”
