I ALWAYS light candles while I crochet. They make a space seem homey, cozy, and they always make the room smell amazing!
And I love giving candles as gifts around the holidays.
They really evoke a sense of warmth and promote an inviting atmosphere – even if the only company you’re expecting are your yarn stash!
With every gift I give, I try to work in a handmade element (almost always crocheted!)
Usually this is a small ornament, or embellishment tied to the package.
So when giving a candle as a gift, what better way to wrap it up than in an adorable, festive candle cozy?!
I’ve created a Thanksgiving candle cozy and a Christmas candle cozy, which are a slight variation to the same basic pattern. See both below!
I paired the Homemade Pumpkin Pie candle with my Thanksgiving cozy – what a perfect hostess gift for Thanksgiving dinner!
And I paired the Fresh Balsam Fir candle with my Christmas cozy – perfect for a white elephant gift exchange!
I’ve designed this cozy to fit the American Home™ by Yankee Candle® line now exclusively at Walmart – the cozy pattern below will fit the 19 oz large size glass jar candles like a glove!
These candles are lovely – they bring the quality and trusted brand Yankee Candle to Walmart with their new line, American Home.
I picked these up while shopping for other things, so handy!
I’ve been burning these American Home candles while I crochet and man oh man, they really pack a punch of long-lasting aromatic impact. Now that’s my kinda candle!
The seasonal fragrances are inspired and true to life holiday favorites such as Sugar Coated Cinnamon, Fresh Balsam Fir, and Sweet & Salty Caramel plus many more. Shop for them all HERE!
And you guys know how I love my pumpkin stuff – the Homemade Pumpkin Pie candle is amazing & will definitely be burning on my Thanksgiving table!
When using your American Home by Yankee Candle products, be sure to follow user instructions to a tee for American Home™ by Yankee Candle® brand products and follow the safety guidelines:
- Always burn your candle on a heat resistant surface, keep it out of drafts and NEVER leave it unattended while lit
- Please make sure the candle wicks are cut 1/8 of an inch to ensure the flame isn’t too large
- Each time you burn your candle, allow the entire top layer to become a fragrant pool of liquid wax and you’ll get the biggest, boldest fragrance possible
- When only ½” of the wax remains, it’s time to let your candle go

I cannot crochet but I would adore a candle wrapped in one of those Santa cozies! I also happen to love the Balsam Fir fragrance! #client
