You remember my Crochet Santa Claus huggable friend from a couple of weeks ago (get that free pattern HERE). Now he has a friend joining him on the blog:
Mrs. Claus!
She’s the sweetest lady with a sweet white apron and jingle bell accessories. What’s not to love?
She’s about the same size as Santa (both are oversized!) and has lots of beautiful yarn hair to match his beard. Such a sweet couple!
You definitely need to make both Santa & Mrs. Claus for the holiday season, they’re the perfect cuddly friends for Christmas lovers of any age. (NOTE: If you’re making the pair, you’ll need a total of 3 skeins cranberry, 2 skeins fisherman, 3 skeins white, 1 skein black, then your small amounts of gold and green yarn).

Cut a spare piece of black yarn and sew a smile between Rounds 3 & 4 about 6 sts apart. I use a dab of hot glue to secure the smile.
Hair
With single strands of white yarn, cut a pile of 8 in. pieces.
Double piece of yarn over, and use your hook to tie 2 strands of yarn over each st you like to be covered.
Begin tying on yarn over Rounds 7-9 of the face panel, one per stitch about halfway around to create her hairline.
Tie yarn over Rounds 5-9 of the back of the head panel, one per stitch about halfway around to create the back of the head hair. Add as much as you like. I only added enough to cover the back of the head.
Use very sharp scissors to trim the hair to be roughly even.
With a clear hair elastic or a spare piece of white yarn, gather “hair” into a ponytail or bun shape on top of Mrs. Claus’ head. Spritz with spray starch to secure. Trim any hair that is too long.
Hot glue a jingle bell to the top of her bun.
