As far as this cute basket goes, it’s the perfect vessel for Elfing or any gift giving this season because its REUSABLE!

Perfect for my sister to reuse later to hold magazines, mail, or knick knacks!

 

Crochet Basket Pattern

Materials:

-2 skeins Lion Brand Wool-Ease Thick & Quick Stripes in Moonlight

-Size L crochet hook

-Tapestry needle

-One package plastic-coated wire clothesline (optional)

Ch 25, Sc in 2nd and across, Ch 1, turn

Rows 2-14: Sc in each across, Ch 1, turn

Row 15: Sc evenly around perimeter of your rectangle – don’t join rounds from here on out

Row 16: Sc in back loops only around

*Begin crocheting over wire clothesline if you like (this will give you very stiff sides to the basket. You don’t have to use this optional material, if you don’t the bag will just be more maleable)

Rows 17-32: Sc in each around

Finish off, weave ends
