I’m afraid 5 yds is likely not enough for a pom pom. But a contrast color pom in another yarn from your stash could be cute!

When you start decreasing you’ll run out of room on your circulars so you’ll need to switch to DPNs 🙂

I can’t believe at what a convenient time you posted this pattern! About a week ago I got a bundle of yarn from goodwill. There was one skein of Lion Brand Hometown USA. I definitely wanted to do a hat with it and tried to find a perfect pattern. Most used too much yards of yarn. But then you posted this bulky hat pattern! It’s perfect! ( One question. I’m making an adult small and also want to make a Pom Pom. I have a skein of 81 yards and need about 76 for the hat. Will I have enough to make a Pom Pom pom?)
