I love a good chevron print – usually I see them in bright colors, but I wanted to try something a bit different.
I love the farmhouse style, with tons of neutral colors and LOTS of white. It’s such a fresh, clean look & I like touches of this type of decor in my own home.
So what more perfect color scheme for a chevron/ripple throw than taupe & bright white? Nothin’ I tell ya!
I made this blanket oversized – big enough for two to share, or one to be extra cozy!
This pattern is uber simple, easy to follow, and even comes with a video tutorial. So there is really no reason not to make this blanket. So get to it!
Here’s the handy video tutorial, too. Because I love ya.
-I used Bernat Blanket yarn in White & Taupe – 2 skeins (300gram) each
-Size P/Q 15mm hook
-Large eye tapestry needle
With Taupe Ch 83, Dc in 4th from hook, and in next 6, 3 Dc in next, Dc in next 7, skip 2, Dc in next 7, 3 Dc in next, *Dc in next 7, skip 2, Dc in next 7, 3 Dc in next, repeat until you have 6 sts left, Dc in last 7, Ch 2, turn
Rows 2- : Dc decrease, Dc in next 5, 3 Dc in next, *Dc in next 6, skip 2, Dc in next 6, 3 Dc in next, repeat across until you have 7 sts left, Dc in next 5, Dc decrease, Ch 2, turn
Color changes: 4 rows Taupe, 4 rows White, 4 rows Taupe, 2 rows White, and repeat
Row : Dc border around in either color (I used White), Dc in each st around, 3 Dc in each corner, sl st to join
Finish off, weave ends.
I hope you love your new chevron ripple throw blanket! Will yours be farmhouse style too with neutrals? Or more bright and flashy?
